Pitt, Jolie settle with tabloid; Applegate pregnant

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie settle: The damages have not been disclosed, but it has been confirmed that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie settled their privacy claim against the News of the World, a British National Enquirer-like tabloid that had reported the superstar couple was planning to split. [AP]

Christina Applegate pregnant: Christina Applegate and her fiance, Martyn Lenoble, are expecting. The two have dated for two years and became engaged on Valentine's Day this year. [People]

From 'South Park' to Somalia: A Virginia man known for threatening the creators of "South Park" is due in federal court on charges of offering himself as a fighter to a Somali terror group linked to al-Qaida. [AP]

Foxy Brown arrested: Police say rapper Foxy Brown has been arrested in New York City, accused of violating an order of protection Wednesday. Apparently, this time it all started when Foxy began yelling at her neighbor and then "bent over and thrust [her] buttocks at the [neighbor]." TMZ doesn't mention which neighbor, but Foxy got into a fight with her neighbor Arlene Raymond in '07 over Foxy blasting her car stereo outside their building. Foxy pleaded guilty in '08 of menacing the same neighbor with her cell phone. [AP | TMZ]

On Mel Gibson's tapes: "His tapes are so crazy, there's new areas to deal with every day. It's fantastic. They really should have saved it for sweeps," said Justin Stangel, who, with his brother Eric, is co-head writer and executive producer of "Late Show With David Letterman." Mel's tapes are providing plenty of comedy fodder for Hollywood. [AP]
