Style of music A mix of genres
Biography A hectic gig schedule means the four-member band works full time at music. The band’s current members – lead vocalist Michele Hover, lead guitarist Diego Gomes, bassist Carson Lambaiso and drummer/keyboardist Ernie Sines – have played together for a year and a half. They take turns singing lead vocals, which means they offer a diverse style of music.
“We actually play a huge variety of music – like on the CD we have reggae, rock, pop, country and blues,” Gomes said.
Borderline Crazy formed four years ago with Gomes and Hover as founding members. They play mostly covers of music ranging from the Beatles to Lady Gaga . They recently released a 12-song CD of original music called “101.”
“I’ve never seen Greenies as packed as it was,” Gomes said about the band’s CD release party earlier this month at the Norfolk restaurant and pub.
The music for “101” had been sitting in a drawer for years, Gomes said.
“I would give Michele a copy of a few songs or music pieces that I had, and then, every once in a while, she would write words. Our single, 'In My Memory,’ we wrote in a total of an hour and half,” he said of the pop-reggae song.
Quote “In the summer we play from four to six nights a week and as many as nine shows.”
