Virginia nonprofit ceases refugee resettlement program in wake of federal cuts
Since October, Commonwealth Catholic Charities has taken on 96 cases, a total of 378 refugees coming to Virginia from places like Afghanistan, Eritrea, Syria and Ukraine. The nonprofit is still assisting 60 families with things like rental payments while they look for work.
