The Virginian-Pilot is looking for feedback from employees and contractors at the Joint Forces Command. We’d also like to hear from people who work at other military installations and companies that could be affected by cutbacks announced throughout the Defense Department.

Should close
The more military that leaves this area the better, I say. If you wanted to cripple this country all you need to do is drop a nuke here. Talk about all your eggs in one basket. The military needs to rethink and downsize.
JFCOM Closing
Secretary of Defense or who ever should just leave JFCOM Alone !! At least the people there have a more legit purpose !! Instead lets Close DOWN the SHIP YARD in Newport News ! The company is so money wasteful it cost the Navy and Taxpayers Millions every year !! That is the main Reason Northrop Grumman Sold it, !! Wow !! after the sell NG Stock went up !! Maybe because it did not have the DEAD Weight !
Here is another idea instead moved them and the Navy out of Norfolk to Florida !! The idea I hope is still on the table. That would safe Taxpayers and the Navy Millions of Dollars !!!
No defense in the center?
What type of military stategic school did you attend? Was this class issued on-line?
And what do you think would happen to the economy in Hampton Roads, if the shipyard and the Navy left? How much funding for schools vanishing?
If you're a rebel or something of that nature, I could understand that you might be angry that the Union took Norfolk, pretty early on but Jeez...
The people that you elect don't even think about things of this nature; what made you decide to give it a try?
The biggest problem in America today is that people really believe that politicians are actually voicing their opinions. There's really a wonderful group of people that compile all of that info and issue a pamphlet called "What sounds good for Dummies"
It's True
I understand that taking an official position on the issue may violate the terms of one's contract, especially if one does not first consult the PAO, but as long as no one knows who you are, it's just an unnoficial Opinion. All you know about me is my username, witch is in no way affiliated with the military though I MAY or MAY NOT be.
THe PAO is for "official" position
Private individuals can share their opinions here. The beauty of this forum is that there is a certain amount of anonymity. The problem with this forum is there is a certain amount of anonymity.
Just don't represent yourself as a "spokesman" for JFCOM.
