Perhaps the hippest 88-year-old actress around, Betty White will make an appearance at Binn's in Williamsburg on Oct. 16.
The Emmy Award winner and only living member of the hit '80s sitcom "Golden Girls" will sign a collection of European handcrafted ornaments called the Pet Set from 1 to 5 p.m. The signing will be followed by a fundraiser for the Morris Animal Foundation, which will be held in the Virginia Room of the Williamsburg Lodge at 7 p.m.
White, a longtime supporter of animal rights, has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity with a memorable Snickers commercial aired during the Super Bowl and an acclaimed turn as host of "Saturday Night Live."
Her appearance on "SNL" was the product of a Facebook campaign.
The signing at Binn's is open to the public. For tickets to the fundraiser and information about the signing, call Binn's at (757) 229-3391 or go to www.binnsonline.com.
