Lee Cherry

I have been fortunate enough to have met Lee Cherry on several occasions to discuss the problems of our city. I can tell you that Mr. Cherry is very passionate not only about the City of Portsmouth, but he cares about the well-being of the people who reside here. He is a first class individual with years of experience dealing with law enforcement, as well as having a keen business sense. I would love to see Mr. Cherry elected to a position where he can have the opportunity to follow through with some of his ideas to better this city. If you have the opportunity to hear him speak as I have, you would have no doubts that Mr. Cherry's motivation is clearly for the betterment of the residents of Portsmouth. Good luck to you Mr. Cherry.

The real agenda

I got a nice postcard in the mail yesterday. It explains all about Lee Cherry and the behind the scenes plot in his mayoral race. You can read more at leecherryexposed.com

A real choice

I met Kenny Wright today, and I decided to look further into his background. Having done so, I believe he is a very-well qualified candidate for our next Mayor.

field of candidates

no matter who wins in November,

Portsmouth would be well served to have the same candidates

on the slate for the next Council election in May 2012.

Elizabeth Psimas For Mayor

As a two-term Councilwoman who better to lead Portsmouth into the future. Like son eof the others, she is a successful Portsmouth businessperson. Unlike the others she is knee-deep in what's going on, what needsd to be done, and where Portsmouth needs to go. She is respected and like amongst her peers (in and out of Portsmouth) and through the Tidewater region, is well educated, and thinks nothing of putting Portsmouth and its citizens first. Give her the 20 months left o Holley’s term and I guarantee she’ll prove to be the one Portsmouth has been waiting for (and needs).

How Long?

How long has she been knee-deep in it?

Kenny Wright

Portsmouth residents should do yourselves a favor and get to know this man before deciding who you will vote for. You wont find a man more concerned about moving his city forward and doing what is best for the city. He would be a very welcome change for what Portsmouth has come to expect from their city leaders. His 'old school' values are definately what Portsmouth needs for the future

Addition to previous post

Billy Baker has been Mayor of Portsmouth before. Can any of the other canidates make that statement? Live Strong Buddy Sanford

I'd love to see Billy Baker as Mayor Again

I agree with Buddy Sanford.

At the very least Billy Baker really knows the history of Portsmouth and Understands how the City of Portsmouth works.

Mark Y. talks to council as a gadfly. Almost on a weekly basis he feels the need to advise council. So much so council while obligated to listen, usually patiently listens and then ignores him. His opinions and lengthy considerations are not shared by the majority of Portsmouth or he would have been elected by now. While many consider Mark to be a very bright person, his ability to get a group of people to work together and lead a City council is not supported by his 30 years of being a shift supervisor for computer operations at a bank.

Elizabeth P. might be able to lead but occasionally she has dressed down citizens at council meetings.

New Councilperson

I am happy to see Billy Baker on the ballot, it is fitting tribute to a man that has always put Portsmouth first he is also a friend of mine from way back. Many of you young people don't know he has a beautiful wife that also was in politics years ago as a State Delegate. Helping Portsmouth is in the family. Run Billy, Run. Buddy Sanford
