Police scrambled early Saturday morning to cover the body of a 26-year-old man stuck in a fence at a popular garden center on busy Jefferson Avenue.

The man’s name is not yet being released, but police say that he was arguing with his girlfriend as they drove down Jefferson. At some point, their truck pulled into the parking lot of Anderson’s Home & Garden Showplace.

The man got out and attempted to climb Anderson’s metal fence, but flipped over and was killed when his head became lodged between two posts.

As of dawn, he remained there, draped in a sheet to shield the view of passing drivers.
