A small fire at a 13-story condominium on Shore Drive was caused by food being cooked on the stove, fire officials said.

The fire occurred 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday and started on the eleventh floor of the Chesapeake House on the Bay, which is located in the 3500 block of Shore Drive.

District Chief David L. Wade said people who lived on the ninth through twelfth floors were evacuated.

The only damage was to the stove in the condominium where the fire started.

Wade said there were no injuries.
