Suffolk School Board meeting to discuss band trip

The School Board has called a special meeting for 10:15 a.m. today to consider contributing to a high school band trip and to continue discussions about the superintendent search and the location of a new elementary school.

During an open session, the board will discuss whether to help fund the Nansemond River High School marching band's trip to Philadelphia for a Thanksgiving Day parade. The rest of the meeting, to be held in the school administrative offices at 100 N. Main St., will be closed to the public.
