A robber struck a Chartway Federal Credit Union Thursday, making off with an undisclosed amount of money, police said today.
At about 4:09 p.m., a man walked into the credit union at 3841 Holland Road and handed a teller a note demanding money and implying he had a weapon, according to a news release from the Police Department. The clerk complied, and the robber fled on foot, police said.
Police are looking for a white male in his 30s who’s 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs between 180 and 200 pounds and has reddish-brown facial hair, according to the release. He was wearing a tan baseball cap, glasses, a long-sleeved white shirt with a design on the back, khaki shorts and sneakers at the time of the robbery.
