SUFFOLK

A man died in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning.

Police have not released the driver's identity pending notification of his family.

Investigators determined the man's 2002 Ford Ranger was traveling eastbound when it crossed the center median, struck a culvert and went airborne, said Debbie George, Suffolk spokeswoman. The vehicle rolled several times, partially ejecting the driver, who was not wearing a seat belt.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene in the 8400 block of South Quay Road just before 4:30 a.m.

No other injuries were reported. The wreck remains under investigation.
