More than 60 dogs, cats taken from Virginia home

THAXTON

Bedford County authorities are removing dozens of cats and dogs from a mobile home.

Sheriff's Capt. Mike Miller said at least 68 cats and dogs were counted Monday and the number will likely surpass 100.

Although most of the animals have health issues, Miller said, it does not look like any of them will have to be euthanized.

Miller said a man who lives in the mobile home in the Thaxton area apparently had taken in stray animals from around the county.

That many animals is profound in the first place, but...

on top of that- all in a mobile home? Tell me it's at least one of those double wide ones. I was watching on TV a couple weeks ago this older woman who had 200 dogs that she claims were all strays. She had the facility but not the funds to 'manage' it. She said she's not a hoarder. I don't believe it though. I didn't see any effort in trying to find homes for them.
