Beach police investigate woman's shooting death

VIRGINIA BEACH

Police are investigating the apparent shooting death of a woman Saturday in a home in the 2200 block of Royal Haven Crest.

Her name wasn't being released pending the notification of extended family, said Master Police Officer Adam Bernstein, a department spokesman.

No charges have been filed in the Saturday evening incident, Bernstein said Sunday.

Detectives will conduct more interviews, await a medical examiner's report and discuss their findings with the commonwealth's attorney to determine whether charges are warranted, Bernstein said.
