A forum featuring congressional candidates vying for the 3rd District seat is scheduled for 7 to 9 tonight at Faith Baptist Church, 1629 Jolliff Road.

Three of the four candidates are expected - independent John Kelly, Libertarian James Quigley and Republican Chuck Smith. The event is organized by tea party activists.

Democratic U.S. Rep. Bobby Scott, who is seeking re-election, will not attend because he is scheduled to deliver a speech in Richmond, an aide said.

The 3rd District stretches from South Hampton Roads, up the Peninsula and into central Virginia.
