Another executive at Amerigroup Corp. has sold shares in the Virginia Beach-based health insurer.

James W. Truess, an Amerigroup executive vice president and its chief financial officer, exercised options to buy 2,700 shares on Nov. 24 and immediately sold the same amount of stock, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Truess paid $31.32 each to exercise the options and sold the shares for $45.25 a piece, netting $37,611 before taxes.

Truess sold 12,000 shares in the same manner on Nov. 1. He still owns 134,950 Amerigroup shares, according to the SEC filing. A handful of other Amerigroup officials have completed similar sales in November.
