Searches of the home of Landstown High School senior Philip Bay in 2009 found shotgun ammunition, pipe bombs and other explosives.
On Tuesday, investigators released photos from the searches. On Monday, a jury convicted Bay, 19, of 18 charges related to the plot.

Truth be told, many of us were bullies at one time or another. It’s part of growing up. Someone bullied you and you bullied someone else. But one didn’t pull what this kid did.
I still want to know how he got the shotgun.

If you read some of the posts presented by those who went to school with this kid, you would see that in fact HE was the bully and the 'strange kid' who got off on making people uncomfortable.
I think the 'bullying' he may have encountered was at the hands of an angry boyfriend telling this 'nerd' to stop harassing his girlfriend.

Everyone gets bullied at one time or another in their life. To use that as justification is absurd. This punk knew what he was doing, he may have been bluffing the entire time, and never would have done it, but irregardless, he knew.. Being Bullied is a crap excuse. He deserves everything he gets. I have one question. Where were the parents? Are you telling me they had no clue what he was doing? I say charge them too!!!!
Behind the plot?
I'd like to see some reporting about the bullying and what the school is trying to do to minimize it. That is something that was behind the plot. I've known of way too much bullying going on in the schools and the school does nothing to stop it. I'm not talking about "picking" on folks but beatings and injuries.

People get bullied everyday! in school in the workplace EVERYWHERE! The difference is most all people can let it go in one ear and out the other! This child let it get to him and kept his emotions close and never talked to anyone about it and his parents were more like landlords.
We do not need to pity Mr Bay AT ALL! He knew what he was doing was wrong! and now he will find out what it really is like to be bullied! He thought he had it bad before! Wait till he drops the soap!
