About 100 people held hands and prayed at a rally hosted by Jon Cash Ministries at Mount Trashmore in Virginia Beach on Sunday. The former WAVY-TV meteorologist, who said he plans to move into preaching full time, spoke at the free rally emphasizing patriotism and Christianity. He said he had hoped to draw about 500 people. Venus Parker of Portsmouth raises her hands in support of Jon Cash while he speaks. She said it was a series of coincidences that led her to attend the rally. On Friday, a member of her bible study group suggested a prayer for Cash who lost his job with WAVY in August. The next morning, she heard about the rally. Later she heard Thunder Creek would perform. And so, after church on Sunday, she offered rides in her truck to Mount Trashmore (Lauren King | The Virginian-Pilot)

1. Do something that is arguably of interest to the general public
2. Draft a brief press release
3. Submit the PR to your contact inside a given news organization
4. Follow up with your contact
5. See your name in the paper
you can actually skip every step but 3 (just tell your contact) as long as long as your contact is close to you.

How about Jon Cash get a "real" job. The last thing we need is ANOTHER nutcase talking fiction and taking advantage of those poor souls' and their wallets like it's some never ending feeding trough...

Again, I gotta ask...what is the Pilot's bizarre fascination with Jon Cash??? In most markets when on-air personalities in the news lose their jobs they shoot out a couple hundred resumés and find another job 500 miles away and continue living their lives there. This guy sticks around and keeps making noise because he knows someone like the Pilot is going to keep paying attention to him.

What is your obsession with Jon Cash? You scour the Pilot for articles, read every post, think of what you think are clever ways to disparage him, and then wonder about the Pilot being to interested in him. One would think.... could it be... it might be that YOU have the problem.
