You'd be crazy to skip this burrito place

I stopped by El Burrito Loco to see if anything had changed since my last visit.

The Build Your Own Outrageous Burrito promotion caught my attention. It's their largest burrito, overstuffed with your choice of up to five items and two sauces.

There are 16 stuffing possibilities, including grilled steak, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, shredded cheese and jalapenos. Eight sauces are available including cheese sauce, guacamole and salsa verde.

"We challenge you to eat it all" is the invitation to a plateful of delicious Mexican food ($14.95) that will fill the average patron.

Also new is a meal with three grilled fish tacos, sour cream salad (sour cream instead of dressing), pico de gallo and avocado ($9.95).

I had the fajita taco salad ($8.95), also new, and couldn't finish the tasty meal. The fresh lettuce comes topped with chicken or steak in a crispy flour tortilla shell. It also had tomatoes and sour cream.

El Burrito has several types of burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, tacos, and American favorites as well as vegetarian meals. Combination plates of enchiladas, tacos, tostadas and burritos are available for around $7 and include rice and beans.

Eight meals ($4.95) are available for children under 12. Included are tacos, enchilada, burritos, a cheese quesadilla, chicken nuggets and cheeseburgers with french fries.

While we waited for our meals, we enjoyed the festive music. The restaurant is inviting, the service is prompt, and the food is authentic Mexican.
