Why not include Clinton's Dalliance?

Because military scandals are SYSTEMIC. Everyone of those scandals (and many more) are not the result of the moral collapse of just one, or two, but of entire chains of command, or groups who cover each other's six.

The system is not designed to be self-policing, and so, it doesn't. The results are huge scandals that permeate in a go-along to get-along mindset.

The first big military scandal in my lifetime was the "Pentagon Papers". These documents showed that the entire military-political system was out-and-out lying to the American public about virtually every aspect of the war in Vietnam.

1000s of men and women read those reports, and knew the lies and toll it was taking on this country. If not for one man's morals...

Why put a US Navy photograph

Why put a US Navy photograph with an Air Force scandal? Does anyone at the Pilot proof anything before it's posted?

EMBARRASED?

To the VP: As a retired Navy man I'm not embarassed about any of these things. Do you know why? Because the world is not perfect, not even your newspaper.

In fact I don't really care what the world thinks about our U.S. Navy, you know why? Because we rule the seas, we are the most powerful Navy in the world and all the countries on the face of this earth knows it.

With all the defects that the U.S. Navy has including raunchy videos, etc. we can still go to any country in the world and take care of business and be back in time for dinner!

Sauce for the Gander

Why not include a former Commander-in-Chief who was guilty of sexual misconduct with a subordinate and then lied about it in public statements?

Really? Seriously?

One would think the VA Pilot could have come up with many more scandals that have occurred in the military. After all, a publication of this caliber and stature in the newsprint world has some standards to uphold.

Sad, isn't it?

That when faced with decades of corruption in the ranks, people are upset that so few are listed. If they had listed them all, you'd vomit.

Buffoons

To group these incidents together on the same page shows a level of political ignorance that is truly astounding, even by the hick standards of your fish wrapper. I would come down to newspaper hq and slap you myself, but that would give you another scandal.
