They are seriously blowing this way out of proportion. Was it character unbecoming? Maybe. But, he meant for it to be comedic and it was. He's got a ship full of people who are away from their families under stressful conditions. Most guys in that situation would like an XO who is "real," has some personality, can loosen up a little bit, and make ship life just a tad more pleasant. In some ways, I could argue it as more commendable than unbecoming. But, the Navy had to remove him from his post to save face. I just hope they drop it from here. And if anyone is "offended" by it, they really need to loosen up. I'm so sick of a few "offended" people always ruining anything fun for the majority.

I was on both the deployments where Capt Honors made and aired XO movie night. Watching these for the second time still made me Laugh, and surprisingly it made me wanna go back to sea.
Funny, not professional
Was the film funny? Yes
Was it the sign of a professional adult? No
He even puts a disclaimer at the front of each video asking to not hold his superiors responsible. This is a very clear sign he knows what he is doing is wrong.

PLEASE, PLEASE, Post the complete videos, all of them, or links for downloading them.
WE deserve to view them fully, and not edited versions by your censors.

I agree, these videos were HILARIOUS! dumb to most people but if you knew what it was like to spend all your time on a ship for the 3 people it offends it brightens the lives of 30.... so why should the 30 suffer for the 3.... SUCK IT UP!... Grant it thou their XO had way to much free time on their hands. But he doesnt come off as an (non-polite word for jerk) like most XO's
