A co-defendant in the aftermath of a murder-robbery who testified against the convicted killer pleaded guilty Monday  to eight felonies connected with passing forged checks from the victim.

As part of a plea agreement,  prosecutors won’t pursue seven other charges against John J. McMahon, 48. His sentencing in Circuit Court will be scheduled later.

McMahon admitted during a week long murder trial to passing checks he testified were forged by Keith A. Bradshaw in the week during  December 2008 after Olive Bruce “BJ” Jones Jr., 57, was believed to have been shot dead in his Deep Creek auto-repair shop.

A jury on Feb. 1 found Bradshaw, 39, guilty of  murder, robbery and several check-forgery charges. McMahon worked for Bradshaw’s landscaping business.
