Combat Boots a Definite Love!
Honestly, I don't think there is anything that I love more than a pair of awesome combat boots. I have super adored this style since I was a kid...yes! a kid!!! I remember when I was in the 5th grade or maybe the 4th, my mom purchased me a pair of black patent leather mid-calf combat boots with a black gum sole. When I put them on, I laced them all the way up but my fashionable mother said 'wait, you can't wear those boots like that!" Shocked and confused I looked at her thinking to myself, 'well how else should I wear them?' She knelled down and then loosen the laces and pulled forward the tongue of the boots...the boots now appeared as though I had not even laced them at all...and I actually liked the look. Of course my 11 yr old friends didn't understand the glamour but I didn't expect them to! Guess I had a little grudge in me after all.
Even to this day I wear my combats slightly un-laced or un-zipped. As for me a good looking leather boot indicates footwear ALL YEAR ROUND! And considering the fact that I am a platform pump chica, I look forward to wearing my combat boots for shoe relief and comfort...all while maintaining my style! These boots can be worn with jeans, shorts dresses and whatever else that fashionista mind of yours can think of (below pic is courtesy of www.whowhatwear.com)

Love The Boots!
Years ago, I bought my FAVORITE pair on Oxford Street, in London... they were made in Spain. :-) I literally wore them to death. I like the Gemma version and will go check them out. There is nothing like the look, with funky long skirts and dresses.... even at 64. THANKS! I like your column.
