The Supreme Court has taken no action on Virginia's call for speedy review of the health care law.
Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli asked the court to resolve questions about the law quickly, without the usual consideration by federal appellate judges and over the objection of the Obama administration.
The case was among those scheduled to be discussed in the justices' private conference Friday, but there was no announcement about the case when the court convened today. The silence could mean, among other things, that one justice asked for more time to think about the case or to write a short opinion that would accompany an order.
The justices meet again Friday to discuss pending cases.

I have a number of friens on Medicare and Medicaid and without it they would be DEAD.
The republican AKA tea pary won't be happy until everyone has a gun, the rich get richer and to heck with the poor.
One thing is sure.....if you live long enough you to will either be rich or need Medicare or Medicaid. What are the odds you will be rich?

If you are posting on this board and are over 65 think carefully before voting for the republicans. According to them, as soon as they get control of the house and senate the first thing to go will be your health care. They plan to replace it with "vouchers" which will not come close to paying the cost of health care for persons over 65. (if you can get health insurance at all!) Don't take my word for it, read the Ryan plan. Its the republicans own plan and believe me they OWN this one!
Get the numbers right
His plan does not apply to anyone over 55 today and doesn’t kick in until 2022. When you make a point using the real numbers, I might discuss it with you then. I may even agree with you.
What makes
you think that if the tea party/conservatives got control of the government that they will not change the rules and apply all changes to current retiree's? The right wing has NEVER like social security or medicare. They would kill it in a minute if they thought they could get away with it. You need only listen to rush or hannity. They have both advocated the abolishment of both programs, as for elected representatives, Ron Paul has said much the same thing! I have always said vote republican if you are rich, Democrat if you work for a living!
My children are well under 55.
I don't want them turned over to the tender mercies of the insurance companies when they reach retirement age so that Billionaires can get more tax cuts.
Thanks to Social security and Medicare most seniors today live somewhere above the poverty line. That is what the GOP is willing to destroy rather than trimming DOD expenses and restoring successful tax policies.
If you don't believe me YOU look at the GOP/Tea/Ryan plan. No cuts to DOD. None. Lower taxes for billionaires. Massive "savings" from Medicare and Medicaid. That is about it.
