Gunman wounds 2 in Norfolk mattress store

NORFOLK

A man went into the Paramount mattress store shortly after noon Monday and opened fire, wounding two people, police said.

Donald Bullock, 52, of the 3500 block of Mangrove Ave., was arrested. He faces two counts of malicious wounding, two counts of use of a firearm and a single count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. According to police, the victims and the suspect were all employed by the mattress business, which is in the 1100 block of Kingwood Ave.

The victims' names are not being released. One, reported to have suffered life-threatening injuries, was upgraded to stable condition Monday afternoon.

Police are investigating.
