Miss America to attend event for girls at ODU

Caressa Cameron, the Virginia Commonwealth University student who became the 2010 Miss America, is expected to attend Old Dominion University's annual health and wellness conference for girls and young women Saturday.

Workshop topics include healthy eating, body image, financial literacy and dream jobs.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Webb Center. To register, visit www.odu.edu/ao/cdc. Details: (757) 683-6657.

The conference is sponsored by ODU's community development corporation.
