Dine, Dance, Do Good tonight at the Granby Theater

A little dining, a little dancing, a little do-gooding.

Do it all tonight in Norfolk while local chef and University of Alabama graduate, Christopher Hill presents a gourmet “Taste of the South” 'hors d'ouvre-style meal to raise money for the American Red Cross to help those affected by the recent storm, tornado and flooding disasters that have occurred over the past few months.

Ticket proceeds, funds from a silent auction and other donations will go directly to aid disaster victims around the country. The American Red Cross will also be accepting financial donations to support relief operations.

Tuscaloosa, Alabama and the West Alabama area are close to the heart of Chef Chris Hill, where his style and fervent interest for cooking began.

“Why pick this community so far away? A part of my heart will always be there… it saddens me every time I get an e-mail, a text message, or a phone call telling me of the horrible chaos and disarray that this beautiful college town has been recovering from,” said Chef Chris Hill in part of his blog. And now with the recent devastation in Missouri the need is even greater.

The event takes place from 7 P.M. to 10 P.M. tonight (June 17) at the Granby Theater. Tickets are $45.
