GOP prez candidate Cain to speak at Virginia event
Conservative Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain was announced Thursday as the keynote speaker at the Family Foundation's annual gala scheduled for Oct. 8.
A business executive and minister, the 66-year old Cain has been openly critical of Planned Parenthood, a group he accused of committing genocide against black babies, and he advocates repealing the federal health care act.
In an e-mail heralding the event, the Family Foundation described the gala as an event "you won’t want to miss."
"Like the last two years when Governor Mike Huckabee and Congressman Mike Pence inspired crowds of 1,000, Herman Cain’s personal story will encourage, motivate, and energize you for the future," the statement said. "Join other like-minded folks at this one-of-a-kind event that has become a 'must attend' for conservative Virginians and a 'who’s who' for politicians and elected officials."
