Boy who fell from Norfolk balcony hospitalized

NORFOLK

A toddler who fell from a second-floor hotel balcony Sunday night was in critical but stable condition on Monday evening, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Elijah Clayton, 2, is at Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters, spokeswoman Nancy Chapman said.

Emergency crews were called to a Ramada in the 1400 block of N. Military Hwy. about 8 p.m. Sunday, said Karen Parker-Chesson, a Norfolk police spokeswoman. She declined to give details while the case was under investigation.
