Posted to: PilotOnline.com

It was still smoky in two spots in the Great Dismal Swamp Tuesday - in areas north and south of Interior Ditch Road, according to a news release e-mailed by the Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge. The areas were getting "large scale pumping," the release said.

A crew that had fought the ground fire two weeks is scheduled to leave Wednesday, while other crews will stay, the release said.
