No. 10 Booker T. Washington (2-0) vs. Warwick (0-1)
Time 7 p.m.
Site Todd Stadium, Newport News
The scoop Warwick opened with a loss, but the Raiders played three-time defending Group AAA Division 5 state champion Phoebus tough before falling 13-7. That was the Phantoms’ lowest scoring output in a Peninsula District game since 2006. Meanwhile, Booker T. Washington won twice in five days last week, defeating King’s Fork and Denbigh. The Bookers rolled up 534 yards – 450 on the ground – against Denbigh, and RB Davohn Williams has rushed for 267 yards in two games. Booker T. Washington has won back-to-back games in this non-district series, including 40-26 last season.
Larry Rubama says BTW, 26-21.
Jami Frankenberry says Warwick, 26-20.
