Va. Beach jury sides with defendant in surfers' spat

Posted to: News Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH

A Circuit Court jury has decided in favor of a surfer sued by another surfer over a 2008 incident off the Oceanfront.

Harry Stoehr had accused Nathaniel B. Lundstrom of surfing without a leash or tether and injuring Stoehr with his loose board. Stoehr sought $125,000 in compensation and punitive damages.

In his lawsuit, Stoehr claimed Lundstrom "executed a turn... and intentionally pushed his board" toward him.

The jury found for Lundstrom at the end of a trial Wednesday, according to court records.

A final order in the case hasn't been filed.

At least one kook exists

I think I may have had a run in with Nathaniel... if it's the guy I'm familiar with he thinks he's a local or something. But before passing judgement I'd sure like to hear the real details behind this plot. There's are a lot of hodaddy lawyers in the water lately that haven't learned a P or a Q... Much less how to mind them... Surf at your own risk
