A Jamesville man died in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on U.S. 13.
A 2001 Infiniti G20 was traveling south on U.S. 13, east of Va. 691, when a 2010 Dodge Caravan traveling north on U.S. 13 failed to stop at a traffic light and tried to make a left turn onto Va. 691, a Virginia State Police news release said. The Infiniti struck the passenger side of the Caravan.
The driver of the Infiniti, Harry Lionel Killmon Jr., 72, was taken to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center where he died.
The driver of the Dodge was charged with failure to obey a traffic signal and could face other charges pending review by the Commonwealth Attorney, the police news release said.
