VIRGINIA BEACH
The city's Council of Civic Organizations is holding its Annual Neighborhood Conference today from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, Suite 1.
The event is open to the public, and former U.S. Rep. Thelma Drake, now the state director of rail and public transportation, and Beach Police Chief Jim Cervera are scheduled to appear. Sessions are planned on social media and how to hold successful civic league meetings.
