No. 4 Salem 47, Tallwood 0
The SunDevils dominated a Beach District match-up, taking sole possession of first place in the title race thanks to Landstown's 20-14 victory over Ocean Lakes. A Salem victory next week over winless Princess Anne would secure the SunDevils' first Beach regular-season championship since 2007.
Salem running back Divante Walker rushed just eight times Friday night, but he finished with 201 yards, including scoring runs of 77 and 39 yards.
Salem (8-1) racked up 271 yards on 18 rushes, while quarterback Bucky Hodges completed 10 of 15 passes for 162 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.
Hodges threw scoring passes of 49 and 34 yards to Darius Fredrick, and a 21-yarder to Kwamane Bowens.
Tallwood (2-7), meanwhile, managed only 32 yards of total offense.

Hickory 34, Nansemond River 25
Andy Eaton carried the load with 237 rushing yards on 29 carries for four touchdowns, and the Hawks (6-3, 5-3) kept their playoff hopes alive with a key Southeastern District win over the Warriors (4-5, 3-5).
Leading 27-19 heading into the fourth quarter, Hickory received a punt with three minutes left on its own 14, but fumbled on its first possession, allowing Nansemond River to capitalize with one of three Lamont Brown TDs. But the Hawks stopped Brown at the goal line on a two-point conversion try to hold a two-point lead.
Looking to burn out the clock, the Warriors forced the Hawks to a fourth-and-3, but Eaton busted through the line for a 45-yard TD to seal the win.

No. 8 Lakeland 28, Indian River 14
Raekwon Johnson rushed for a career-high 280 yards - his fourth game this year with 200-plus yards - in the Cavaliers' Southeastern District win.
Johnson, who gained 258 yards last week, scored on runs of 38, 8, and 72 yards as the Cavaliers (7-2, 6-2) secured their winningest season since moving to Group AAA in the mid-1990s.
Lakeland led 21-0 at halftime, but the Braves (2-7, 2-6) rallied on Nik Milvo's 23-yard TD reception and JaQue Sawyer's 15-yard scoring run, cutting the lead to 21-14 with 3:23 left.
The Cavaliers recovered an onside kick and then scored on the next play on a 72-yard run by Johnson with 3:07 left.

Granby 27, Booker T. Washington 0
The Comets limited Booker T. Washington to 134 total yards - 45 in the second half - on their way to an Eastern District win.
Paul Dukes rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown, while Lawrence Harris added 71 yards and a score as Granby (3-6, 3-3) snapped a two-game losing streak.

The Titans rolled to another Eastern District rout, setting up a showdown with Norcom next week for the title.
Lake Taylor (7-1, 6-0) has outscored its past four district opponents by a combined 172-6.
No. 6 Norcom 42, Maury 20
Joe Powell caught three first-half touchdowns from DaQuan Saunders, and the Greyhounds (8-1, 6-0) pulled away from the Commodores (1-8, 1-5) in an Eastern District game.
Norcom led 28-6 at halftime, paving the way for Chavelle Atkins to salt away the clock. Atkins finished with 138 yards on 16 carries and a touchdown. The Greyhounds racked up 242 total rushing yards.

King's Fork 48, Deep Creek 21
Charles Clark rushed for 158 yards and two TDs as the Bulldogs snapped a six-game losing skid.
King's Fork (2-7, 2-6 Southeastern District) rattled off four unanswered scores - three by Uriah Adams - to keep the Hornets (0-9, 0-8) winless. Adams scored on runs of 18, 2 and 17 yards in the third quarter, while Clark added a 45-yarder in the fourth.

Green Run 34, Kellam 8
The Stallions bolted away from a 14-8 halftime lead to keep their playoff hopes alive in Division 5.
Green Run (4-5) was eighth and tied with Booker T. Washington entering Friday. Kellam (3-6) suffered its fifth straight loss.
First Colonial 35, Princess Anne 0
The Patriots continued their second-half surge, getting TDs from five different players in a third consecutive victory.
Justin Cormier rushed for 82 yards and a score, while Dalton Desroches threw for 130 yards and a TD and ran for another. First Colonial (5-4) pulled away from a 14-0 halftime lead.
Princess Anne (0-9) has 39 straight on-field losses.

Norview 47, Wilson 7
Seven players scored as the Pilots rebounded from back-to-back losses and handed Wilson its 13th consecutive defeat dating to last season.
Norview (5-4, 4-2 Eastern District) racked up 334 yards rushing, led by Ishmael Brown's 135 yards on 12 attempts.
The Pilots' defense held Wilson (0-9, 0-5) to minus-13 yards rushing.
Norview QB Kwe'shon Williams passed for two touchdowns and ran for another score. Wilson's lone touchdown came on its first play of scrimmage, a 65-yard pass from Der'woun Greene to Keon McSwain.

Bishop Sullivan 55, Hampton Roads 20
The Crusaders' Jeffrey Swoope scored three touchdowns to give him 16 on the season, breaking the school's single-season TD record held by his father, Billy Swoope.
Bishop Sullivan Catholic (7-2, 5-1 Tidewater Conference) won its third straight.
Jeffrey Swoope rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns and also caught a touchdown pass.

Nansemond-Suffolk 42, Trinity 28
Bobby Lamm rushed for 146 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries to lead the Saints (5-4) to a fifth consecutive victory.
Nansemond-Suffolk took a 21-20 lead at the half, then pulled away in the second half behind two TDs by David Gough.
Bryan Black led Trinity (1-8) with three TDs.

Norfolk Christian 35, Greenbrier Christian 0
Kwontie Moore scored three three touchdowns as the Ambassadors (7-2, 5-0) clinched a second straight Tidewater Conference championship.
Norfolk Christian held the Gators (4-3, 2-3) to minus-78 yards rushing.

Isle of Wight 47, Brunswick Academy 6
Hunter Triplett led the Chargers (7-1, 4-0) with 89 yards rushing on seven carries and a touchdown.
Western Branch-Great Bridge postponed
The game between Western Branch and Great Bridge was postponed until 6 p.m. Monday to avoid a rainy homecoming.
