Mobile unit to provide license services on Outer Banks

The N.C. Department of Motor Vehicles is dispatching two mobile units to the Outer Banks this week to help residents renew or get new licenses.

The state agency is hoping to help residents affected by Hurricane Irene with driver license services, according to a press release.

The mobile unit will be on Hatteras on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in front of civic center at 1498 N.C. 12. On Friday, the mobile unit will move to Ocracoke and will be at the community center on N.C. 12 from 10:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
