NSU to host community conversation Tuesday

Posted to: News Norfolk

NORFOLK

The city of Norfolk and Norfolk State University are hosting a community conversation at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Norfolk State's New Student Center, room 149.

The gathering is part of the city's effort to connect with residents, said Bob Batcher, Norfolk's director of communications. The meeting is open to anyone, but it is geared toward neighbors living near the campus. The city wants residents' input on how to improve their communities.

Participants are asked to enter the campus from Corprew Avenue at lot No. 34, which is located beside the University Police Building. Call (757) 664-4031 for more information.

Norfolk State does not perform for the community or the taxpayer

Norfolk State should be closed. With a 4 year graduation rate of 13%, it is waste of taxpayers hard earned dollars.

Norfolk State does not perform for the community or the taxpayers that support it.

Accounting, Art, Biology, Business, Communications, Interdisciplinary Studies, Nursing, Political Science, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology are the most popular majors. Only one degree requires a professional exam. The rest produce 13% of all graduates?

The community around NSU should shun NSU rather than embrace NSU.
