Two men who sexually assaulted a woman they abducted at knife-point from an Oceanfront McDonald's parking lot will spend 25 years in prison, two Circuit Court judges ruled in separate hearings Wednesday.
Santiago Jimenez, 23, and Carlos Hernandez, 25, pleaded guilty earlier this year to rape, abduction and conspiracy in the September 2010 attack.
According to a stipulation of evidence in the case, Jimenez approached the woman, put a knife to her neck and forced her into an SUV driven by Hernandez.
Jimenez struck the woman in the head and assaulted her. The men then switched places, and Hernandez raped the woman as Jimenez drove, the stipulation said.
The woman escaped by persuading the men to stop at a convenience store. Police arrested the men nearby.
Jimenez and Hernandez are in the country illegally, and Commonwealth's Attorney Harvey Bryant said he expects they'll be deported after they serve their prison sentences, according to a news release from Bryant's office.
