Virginia Beach police to highlight crime prevention

VIRGINIA BEACH

The Virginia Beach Police Department's Crime Prevention Unit will celebrate October as Crime Prevention Month with an informational display today from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Lynnhaven Mall.

McGruff the Crime Dog will be on hand to greet children. Crime prevention officers will have an information table. A police cruiser will be on display, and members of Project Lifesaver will be on hand.
