SOUTHERN SHORES, N.C.
The canal bridge in the Chicahauk neighborhood will be closed for two months for replacement.
The bridge will close on Jan. 3 and is scheduled to reopen on March 1, a town news release says.
Residents and service providers are being warned to find alternate routes during the closure. Police, firefighters, paramedics and the U.S. Postal Service have been notified about the work.
