Fort Eustis soldiers due home from Afghanistan today

Soldiers from the 155th Inland Cargo Transfer Company are due home to Fort Eustis Saturday, the Army announced.

Highlights The drawdown of U.S. troops in Afghanistan means an early homecoming for soldiers of the 155th Inland Cargo Transfer Company, 10th Transportation Battalion, 7th Sustainment Brigade. They left in July on what was supposed to be a yearlong deployment but are due back to Fort Eustis in time for the holidays.

This is the fourth deployment in eight years for the company, whose mission involves the movement of cargo at air, rail and truck terminals and other distribution and shipping centers.
