Last-minute shoppers, don't despair. You can shop today for the freshest of greens and veggies across Hampton Roads to make your Thanksgiving feast a locavore's delight.
If you think the singular smell of collards cooking in the kitchen is something you can do without, Clarke Farm on Bruce Road in Chesapeake offers collards cooked or fresh. You will also find sweet potatoes, turnips, Hanover salad and more. Clarke Farm is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today. After Thanksgiving, it will be open Wednesday through Saturday until Christmas.
Oliver Farms Produce on Longview Drive in Smithfield also will have collards today. Send an email this morning to orders@oliverproduce.com with your name, phone number and the quantity that you would like to pick up later today from their house.

You will find at least two Virginia Beach farm stands open for 11th-hour Turkey Day shopping. Cromwell's Produce on New Bridge Road will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today with collards, kale, beets, turnips and sweet potatoes.
Cullipher Farm Market on Princess Anne Road is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today with five types of sweet potatoes, collards, kale, lettuce and new red creamer potatoes that are harvested when young and "creamy."
The Five Points Community Farm Market in Norfolk is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today. Find broccoli, acorn squash, apples, sweet potatoes and more. Then the market will be closed through Nov. 30, reopening Dec. 1 with regular hours.

Good news, Portsmouth locavores! The Portsmouth Olde Towne Farmers Market at Court and High streets is continuing its Saturday market schedule, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., through Dec. 10. This Saturday, Portsmouth Master Gardeners will be selling fresh greens handcrafted into wreaths and other holiday decorations.
