HAMPTON

A Christopher Newport University freshman was killed in a wreck early Sunday morning on Interstate 64, the Daily Press reports.

Sierra Smith, a 2011 graduate of Woodside High School, was killed, the newspaper said, citing an email sent to faculty and students by a university dean.

The 3 a.m. collision occurred when a car traveling the wrong way in the westbound lanes struck another car. Four people were injured.

Another senseless tragedy

I just read on the Daily Press website that
the man who hit her is awaiting trial for
another DUI.

I have a daughter this girl's age. It
would be best if I keep my comments to
myself, but you get my point.

What a tragedy

I guess it's like they say...Any news that happens between Midnight and 5am is not usually good news.

Such a tragedy...

Prayers being sent for her family and friends. Be sure to appreciate your kids and tell them how much you love them every day.
