The Virginia Department of Transportation reported the following traffic conditions at 8:15 a.m.:
A multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 64 eastbound at mile marker 250 in Newport News. One lane is closed.
Backups of 2.5 miles westbound at the High Rise Bridge on Interstate 64.
Backups of 2 miles eastbound and 1 mile westbound at the Midtown Tunnel and 1 mile eastbound at the Downtown Tunnel. There will be alternating mobile lane closures on Va. 164 until 3 p.m.
