Pacific Sunwear of California Inc., which has PacSun stores in most Hampton Roads malls, plans to close as many as 200 locations as part of a restructuring. The retailer, based in Anaheim, Calif., announced as part of its third-quarter earnings results that it has completed negotiations with landlords on the closures of 175 to 200 stores. It did not release a list of locations to be closed.
PacSun targets teen shoppers and has stores in MacArthur Center in Norfolk; Greenbrier Mall in Chesapeake; Lynnhaven and Pembroke malls in Virginia Beach; Patrick Henry Mall in Newport News; and Williamsburg Premium Outlets. Pacific Sunwear plans to buyout about 75 leases and shutter 115 stores when their leases end in the next 14 months.

Support Local Surf Shops
I am glad these superficial stores are closing. Nothing but posers shop there anyway. I will gladly go shop at 17th St. or WRV or Pungo Board House or any other local skate/surf shop.
Not Surprised
I'm hardly surprised by this. Furthermore, there are likely other corporations who are on the brink of similar fate.
So Long & Farewell
Another store from a time when people had money to waste.
more jobs
More jobs created by Obama.
It never fails
Is someone paying you by the word to respond in some way that everything is the President's fault? So ridiculous. This is a huge corporation that is restructuring. Who knows, maybe huge bonuses going to upper management are the culprit.
Dem's are predictable
And I'm sure if the company anounced plans to expand and hire people you would be giving the praise to the President. Dem's are so predictable.
Outdated Clothes
I'm surprised they didn't close stores sooner. Do they still sell JNCOs?
A real crisis
Where will teenage girls buy overpriced t-shirts now!?
