Photos: Funeral held for Chesapeake police officer

Memorial services this morning honored a Chespeake police officer who died during an underwater training exercise.

Funeral services for police officer Specialist Timothy Schock were held at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, 215 Las Gaviotas Blvd.

Schock, 41, died Dec. 20 during a dive-team training exercise at Oak Grove Lake Park. State police are investigating the death, according to police.

At a candlelight vigil before Christmas, colleagues remembered Schock for his professionalism and humor.

The city has posted the memorial information on its website (http://www.cityofchesapeake.net/).
