Police have identified a 48-year-old man who apparently drowned at a small boat harbor near 701 Jefferson Ave. on Tuesday.
Police said the body of Garfield Langford, of Newport News, was removed from the water by a fire department dive team after the city's public safety services got a report at 6.27 p.m. of a possible drowning. Langford's address was not available.
No other information was immediately available.
