Mike Duman Auto Sales, a Suffolk-based used car dealership that also owns Mike Duman Chevrolet in Franklin, will donate $50 toward each pet adoption from the Suffolk Animal Control shelter. The offer will cover adoptions for up to 50 animals through Dec. 31.
After completing a pet adoption, people are asked to bring proof to the Duman dealership at 2300 Godwin Ave., Suffolk. They will receive a check refunding $50 of the fee.
Adoptions are $60 for cats and $75 for dogs, which includes spay/neuter procedures and some vaccinations. With the Duman offer, pet lovers can bring home a cat for $10 or adopt a dog for $25.
Prospective pet owners can learn more about the Duman offer between 5 and 9 p.m. Thursday at the fundraising Suffolk Humane Night at Buffalo Wild Wings at the Harbour View West Shopping Center, 7386 Harbour Town Pkwy., Suffolk.

Mike Duman helping with adoption
I think that is the sweetest thing that anyone could do. You do not find many people out there that want to help the public. Most people that would like to adopted an animal can't because they just don't have the money to do so. Now this gives some families a chance to welcome any animal into their home for their children or for themselves. There should be more caring people out in the world like MIKE DUMAN.
Thank you
Thanks so much to businesses who offer this type of assistance around the holidays! It's not just a new family member for Christmas, it's potentially two lives saved! The life of the animal adopted is saved and another has a chance to stay a little longer and possibly be noticed because there's room for him/her.
