SUFFOLK

Repair work is expected to cause delays on the Mills Godwin Bridge, beginning Wednesday.

During work on the U.S. 17 span, expected to continue through March 1, workers with flags will direct traffic around shifting lane closures during the day and at night, a city news release says. Two lanes will remain open all the time.

The work, considered the first phase of the project, includes reconstruction of the expansion dams and resealing of the expansion joints along the span.

For more information, call the Suffolk Department of Public Works at 757-514-7600.
