Broncos QB Tim Tebow's 316 passing yards vs. Steelers evoke a Bible verse
Posted to: NFL

If you thought it would take a miracle for the Denver Broncos to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, well ...
The web has been abuzz with the coincidence (or is it more?) that Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow's 80-yard completion on the winning score gave him 316 yards for the game.
Tebow isn't allowed to put messages in his eye black during NFL games, but during the Florida Gators' 24-14 win over Oklahoma for the 2008 national title, he sported "John 3:16" on his face.
Another stat from Sunday's thrilling 29-23 overtime win: Tebow had 10 completions, which means his yards-per-catch number was 31.6.
And another: The television rating for the ending of the game reportedly was 31.6.
Ironic, isn't it, that Tebow's first NFL playoff win occured in such a fashion against the Steelers, whose first playoff win (in 1972 against the Oakland Raiders) came on an Immaculate Reception?
On Sunday's winning pass to Demaryius Thomas, Tebow said: "When I saw him scoring, first of all, I just thought, 'Thank you, Lord.'"
Indeed.
