Police are investigating a sexual assault that was reported today about 12:45 p.m.
A woman told police she was sexually assaulted in the 1100 block of Poindexter St., a Chesapeake police news release said. No other details about the incident were available.
The assailant was described as a black man, about 5 feet 8, 180 pounds and he was wearing white shoes, a white T-shirt, black jacket and a black and white beanie hat.
